Respiratory Protection

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) established the Respiratory Protection Standard (29 CFR 1910.134). This standard requires employers to determine if Respiratory Protection is required to protect employees from airborne contaminants. SRP Environmental’s Industrial Hygiene Division can help employers determine if Respiratory Protection is required, and if so, what type of Respiratory Protection best protects their employees. SRP will also help employers develop the OSHA-required Respiratory Protection Program which lists the types of respirators used at the facility, how they are used, limitations of the respirators and what types of training are necessary to safely use the Respiratory Protection. SRP Environmental can develop and present the required Respiratory Protection Training specific to each employer.

SRP Environmental’s Occupational Health Division can assist with Respiratory Protection Medical Evaluations, Fit Testing (Qualitative and Quantitative) and Pulmonary Function Testing. These medical evaluations can also be performed at the employer’s site.
