Indoor Environmental Quality

Approximately 80% of our time is spent indoors.  While indoors, we are constantly exposed to possible irritants such as Mold, Organic Vapors, Formaldehyde, Environmental Tobacco Smoke, Carbon Monoxide, Sulfur Dioxide and Nitrogen Dioxide.  Occasionally, exposure to these Indoor Irritants may lead to Adverse Health Effects also called Sick Building Syndrome.  Other issues such as Lighting, Inadequate Ventilation and Noise may affect employees health and performance.  SRP Environmental’s Indoor Environmental Quality Division can perform Building Evaluations to investigate Indoor Air Quality complaints.

The SRP Team will first perform a Visual Inspection to identify potential sources of air quality deterioration.  Based on the results of the Inspection, we will utilize state of the art equipment in evaluating airborne exposures.  Both Real-time and Datalogging instrumentation are used to evaluate the workspace.  All air samples are analyzed by laboratories accredited by the American Industrial Hygiene Association.

Once the Evaluation has been performed, our Team will interpret the results of the surveys and provide recommendations to improve the Indoor Environmental Quality at your site.  We will also assist in any Remediation necessary or implementation of Engineering Controls such as ventilation, lighting, etc.
